I always find it hard to buy Christmas gifts for my parents. Parents usually have everything!
Not too long ago, I was on the phone with my mom and she gave me a NOT so subtle hint for a Christmas gift. She told me that she is making space on her photo ledge! My sister just had a conversation with my dad yesterday about a photo of the grandchildren. He told her that he put up the beautiful canvas we gave them for Christmas last year BUT his new 6 month old granddaughter is not in the portrait. Hint, Hint!
I think once you are a grandparent, all you want are photos of your grandchildren. Am I wrong?
Photos make a great gift for any occasion. I turned 40 this year and all I wanted was a family portrait. I tried planning for this past spring but I couldn’t get my act together with finding the right outfits for our session. Enough was enough and I decided that this past weekend would be the perfect time to attempt taking our family portrait. So, in between photo sessions on Saturday I hit the stores for some outfits. After a lot of back and forth, I did it! On Sunday afternoon we head up to Drysdale’s farm to cut down our first Christmas tree and I brought my camera and a tripod. I couldn’t be happier with the results.
I’ll be printing and framing these for my parents for Christmas and a few for myself too!
